Brief letter from John Morris

Dear fellow Christian,

(I would like to tell you a little about my story.)

A few years back, I was alarmed at the lack of familiarity by people who go to church. Every person that I seemingly came into contact with did not know the Word of God at all. God truly convicted me in my heart to do something. I had no idea what God had in store for me to do. I felt like a nobody. Surely, there has to be someone else more qualified or more positioned to reach these people. I didn't even know where to begin.

Then, one night when I was reading in the book of Judges, I came upon Gideon (Judges 6). I knew that God was talking to me. Information just started pouring out of me seemingly every night. It now seems like just a blur.

I spent about one year developing the Know the Bible Workbook and the Know the Bible Worksheet to help people become more familiar with verses and learn the order and flow of the Holy Scriptures. And, another year plus trying to make the Learn the Bible Video Class in order to help Christians gain a better understanding of the Holy Scriptures and spurring them to read the Word of God now. With more familiarity, people will no longer be blinded by Satan into thinking the Bible is too complex and intimidating. Curiosity will replace fear.

I have prayed to God to help me structure this so that I can reach as many people as possible. The www.knowthebible.net website became the conduit to reach people and churches all over the world.

I cannot reach people using my own resources. I am extremely limited when it comes to financial resources in dealing with such a large project.

So how then?

Somehow God seemed to answer that question. I do not have to. I developed a way using the website to get these resources to individuals all over the world. They can access all our resources directly online from our website.

I then asked, "How am I going to financially keep this website afloat?" I do not want to charge anything for this tool you have given me. Then, it came to me again (I think it was God again!). I will provide access to every person interested in growing in their relationship with the Lord with a simple donation amount. I need not charge anything for each item, but make it so a person that helps me further reach others for Christ can use all of our resources. The donation amount is minimal so that each person can afford access. I am not trying to build a bigger house, but simply support the ministry and the mission of strengthening the faith of fellow Christians.

I can only offer these resources to you. You must take the next step. As the saying goes, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink."

I humbly ask you to consider our offer. It is our sincere intent to help you grow in your relationship with Christ.

Ephesians 4:11-13, "It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
