Prophecy . . . "All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads; 'Let him deliver
him, since he delights in him.'" (Psalm
22:7-8) King David prophesied this rejection of the
Son of God by all the people around him during his ultimate death. Again, the Messiah is seen being humiliated by those around
him. King David saw this 1000 years before the Messiah's birth. Fulfillment . . . "Those
who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads, and saying,' You who are going to destroy the temple in three days,
save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God.' . . .the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the
elders mocked him . . .In the same way the robbers . . .heaped insults on him." (Matthew 27:39-43) Jesus Christ is hanging on the cross being
humiliated by all.
