Prophecy . . . "So they paid me thirty pieces of silver . . . and threw them into the house of the Lord to the potter."   (Zechariah 11:10-13)

About 500 years before Christ, the Bible foretells of the old covenant being broken and the price of the Lord's betrayal being thirty pieces of silver. Note not only the exactness of the amount, but the incredible fate the money would encounter. The throwing of the money on the floor of the temple of the Lord and the ultimate use of the money to buy the potter's field to bury strangers in.

Fulfillment . . . "Judas, who betrayed Him, returned the thirty pieces of silver . . .threw the money into the temple. The chief priests picked up the coins . . .they decided to buy the potter's field as a burial place,"    (Matthew 27:3-10)

Not only is the amount exact, but how the coins would end up on the floor of the temple. Also, what the chief priests and the elders would decide to do with the blood money is amazing! The Jewish leaders would fulfill the prophecy themselves for the Messiah that they still will not recognize to this day.
